Demo: How to Make Summer Soup

The last few days of summer vacation were spent playing, playing, playing :) ...and resting, resting, resting. :( I was a little cranky over the weekend due to a silly summer cold, but I'm happy to report that with lots of rest, a humidifier, and some yummy medicine, I'm almost as good as new! I made a speedy recovery...just in time for my first day of school.

Enjoy a video and some photos of our last few days of summer:

The day before my cold showed up, I made "summer soup" in my front yard (Recipe: walnuts, sticks, grass, dirt, and lots and lots of water).

On Saturday, I went to the Farmer's Market with my parents and then played in my new doggy tent that we found at a yard sale.

And on Sunday, after church and a long nap, Mom, Dad, and I went to Clinton Lake for a picnic. Here I am playing in the dirt instead of eating my dinner.

I'm not quite ready to tell you about my new school yet...maybe I'll fill you in at the end of the week after we've all had a little more time to adjust. ;)

Love,
Elijah
